It’s getting warm outside, spring has sprung. Are you an outside person?
Here are a few tips to get organized in your garage, shed, and yard.
Organizing outside may need the ‘hardware’ that you are not familiar with or do not use often. Have a handyman or woman on hand to consult for purchase and installation. You are lucky if you have a handy family member to install hardware to take advantage of vertical storage. This will save you time and money.
If you do a preliminary assessment of the area, you can list objectives, order organizing products ahead of time, and make sure tools are charged and ready for any installation projects.
On the day of work, make sure you drink lots of water and have a snack available. If you are in the garage or another enclosed space have a fan to provide ventilation. Work with a partner for the heavy stuff. If you have to get on a ladder have your partner hold the ladder for you.
Play some music; make it fun. Schedule breaks and an ‘end time’.
